Tomoe Gozen (MW-04)

Reviewed in MILITARY MODELLING, vol. 32 n°10, 2002

...The kit comprise 16 finely cast grey coloured detailed polyurethane resin parts. There are only a few parts with excess resin blocks or carriers left from the moulding process requiring removal before assembly and everything clicks into place - the fit of parts is excellent, the kit's assembly has been well engineered. The resin has a nice matt appearance and a good feel to its surface, offering 'tooth' and ideally suitable for the paint.

Tomoe Gozen is in full armour, she has long hair and wears white make-up. There's plenty to paint here, lots of detail to represent rich fabric cords and loops on the plates.

Tomoe is a folk heroine in Japan and her memory is celebrated in various festivals. Another winner from the hands of Le-van Quang in the PiLiPiLi Man O War Collectors Series.
